Our 3447 N. Roxboro Street team in Durham, North Carolina, supported the Urban Ministries of Durham through encouraging notes. The Urban Ministries of Durham (UMD) provides avenues to food and shelter 365 days a year. Their community cafe provides about 712 meals per day to local individuals experiencing homelessness and very low-resource neighbors in Durham. By providing bagged lunches during the workweek, their neighbors can look for work and keep their appointments without making an inconvenient trip. They do ask community members to give the brown paper bags for these lunches and accompany them with an encouraging note to uplift those who need them.
