Did you know that most kids go in the foster system go into their new homes with only a trash bag full of their belongings? North Carolina nonprofit, SAYSO (Strong Able Youth Speaking Out), provides local youths with essential items for when they enter into foster care. Recently, they held a drive for their Make a Difference Day. They will deliver 10,000 hats, gloves, blankets, and scarves to the approximately 5,000 students entering the North Carolina foster care center.
Our locations in Greensboro and Durham both donated items to give these kids some great supplies. If you would like to donate to their cause, check out the many ways here.
