For the past six years, the Durham Chamber throws their First Responders Appreciation Breakfast. This event usually happens on the week of September 11 to serve breakfast to Durham area first responders to celebrate and recognize their hard work. This year, the Chamber wants to expand its event to include frontline healthcare, education, childcare, and other essential workers that have been at the forefront of the COVID battle.
This year, on September 30, the Chamber will deliver meals and gift cards from local restaurants that have been hurting from the pandemic. These meals and gift cards will benefit those that have been helping others since March. If you would like to know more about how to donate or nominate a business to benefit, visit their event listing HERE.
