As unemployment rates climb, many families are continuing to struggle. Durham Public Schools have teamed up with the Durham FEAST program to continue feed children through the summer. From June 8 to July 31, all children aged 18 and under will be allowed to pick up these free meals from one of their 24 sites around the city. There will also be free shelf-stable ingredients and family-style casseroles available for pickup as well as multiple free breakfasts and lunches for the children. Pickup sites are listed on the Durham FEAST website and will be open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from either 11 AM to 12:30 PM or from 12 PM to 1:30 PM. There are also delivery options for those who need it. If you would like to help their efforts, they are taking volunteers for this event as well as financial donations.
